Responsibilities:

Drive best practices and ensure development of high-quality solutions/technologies

Ensure all such solutions/technologies adhere to all development & security standards

Determine the right technology choices (upgrade decisions, hosting decision) to deliver business value keeping in mind availability, scalability and reliability of solution.

Build and manage a team of high calibre engineers

Drive resolution of technology roadblocks including code, infrastructure, build and deployment

Work closely with business owners and ensure delivery of projects as per timelines

Guide product team(s) as appropriate, manage cross-product technical dependencies and drive resolutions or remove barriers for the product team(s)

Ensure all quality standards around technologies, frameworks, design patterns, processes and guiding values of the domain architecture are adhered to
Skills required:

Extensive technical knowledge and background, plus additional role-specific technical skills

Good knowledge of open-source frameworks

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences

Team-orientated, passionate about developing skills and capabilities amongst team members

Knowledge of agile and continuous Integration and continuous delivery practices

Strong sense of ownership and problem-solving skills
Requirements:

BE/BTech/BS degree in computer science or equivalent
-
Deep experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development)

10+ years of engineering experience
-
5+ years of managing teams with a strong track record of delivery for large, cross-functional projects

Experience in operating large scale systems

Experience with test-driven development and software test automation
-
Strong leader with the ability to lead & manage a high performing team, can creatively balance high-quality delivery with customer focus to meet business needs

Proven track record of delivering results in an aggressive and fast paced environment
