Vice President- Operational Risk

About the Role:

The Head of Operational Risk will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a robust Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework. Your mission is to identify potential failures in internal processes, people, and systems—or threats from external events—before they impact the bottom line or our reputation.



Some high level things you would own but not limited to:

Framework & Governance : Develop and maintain the RCSA (Risk & Control Self-Assessment) and KRI (Key Risk Indicators) frameworks specific to lending cycles.
Digital Lending: Risk
Oversee risks in the digital journey, including API failures, algorithmic biases in credit scoring, and e-KYC vulnerabilities.

Outsourcing & Third-Party: 
Audit and monitor Direct Selling Agents (DSAs), collection agencies, and tech vendors to ensure compliance with RBI’s outsourcing norms.
Loss Data Management:
Maintain an internal Operational Loss Database; analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.
Fraud Prevention :Collaborate with the Vigilance/Fraud team to identify patterns in loan applications and internal staff misconduct.
Business Continuity (BCP): Lead the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning to ensure 24/7 uptime for lending apps and branches.

Chief Information Security Officer

● You will draft / coordinate / monitor IT process/policies to ensure compliance as per necessity by IT Act/ statutory & regulatory (e.g. RBI, SEBI, GDBR, UIDAI etc.) / info security (ISM) guidelines and circulars with respect to Technology in coordination with internal & external stakeholders 

● You will review the regulatory / Indian Govt. Information Technology / data Security guideline as an when it is circulated /published. 

● You will be conducting IT committee’s as per ISM schedule and necessity advised by regulatory.- Drafting/Circulating MOM of IT committee meetings to respective members and business as & when required. 

● You will be preparing & updating business wise IT infra details which are largely required for the Compliance/Legal team for regulatory filing. 

● You will review and fill out mandatory IT documentation with respective regulatory bodies as necessary. 

Manage IT Policies & Procedures : 

● You will be responsible for drafting & ensuring implementation of IT Policies and procedures at the operational level. 

● You will formalize, conduct vendor risk assessments & audits, ensure implementation of identified gaps. 

● You will improvise and keep internal IT / IS manuals updated with all relevant regulations relating to IT. Periodic review of Information Security Manual (ISM) understanding 

business/regulatory/data security/technology etc. 

● You will be introducing and drafting processes/policies based on finding/observation. 

● You will be involved in periodic review of IT processes/policies and issue an advisory note to overcome gaps/loops by highlighting risk associated to it. 

● You will be introducing new processes/policies by doing market study/survey relevant to our business and info/infra security by highlighting risk and necessity. 

● You will be ensuring adherences of key process / policy execution and availability of audit trails. ● You will manage Information Systems Risk Assessments & audits : 

● You will Plan, Coordinate, review & manage IT / IS Risk Assessments & IT audits, VAPT with relevant stakeholders (internal & external, including vendors) 

● You will Plan, Conduct, Review & Manage periodic IT audit and IT Risk Assessments (internal & external) 

● You will be responsible for carrying out periodic Internal & External IT, Process, Policy, VAPT, System Audit. Management 

● You will be involved in closure of audit findings with amendment to existing process/policy in order to close open loops/gaps or introduce new process/policy to close the risk


Manage IT & Cyber Security :

● You will Plan, formulate, coordinate, implement, monitor & manage the cyber crisis management plan (CCMP). 

● You will ensure necessary cyber security safeguards are designed & implemented. 

● You will be part of Management of cyber security, related incidents & reporting to management and respective regulatory bodies. Responsible for Incident Management and resolution

 ● You will be providing relevant data IT information Sector to Partner Function/ Business as and when required. 

● You will be responsible for formulation, review & monitoring BCP plans and it’s implementation. ● You will coordinate to conduct BCP / DR drills, present findings 

● You will suggest/implement & constantly update BCP / DR plans


Senior Manager – Risk Analytics

About the Role 

Senior Manager- Risk Analytics will be responsible for developing and implementing global strategies for Risk and collections across multiple markets. This role will combine strategic planning with deep analytical insights to drive improvements in collection efficiencies and Portfolio Insights. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead strategic initiatives, and harness data-driven insights to optimize Risk and collection strategies. 

Some high level things you would own but not limited to:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor risk and collections strategies to optimize Collections and Recovery rates, minimize delinquencies, and reduce loss rates across diverse markets. 
  • Lead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of collections processes, including digital transformation and automation.
  • Analyse portfolio performance and collections data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. 
  • Build and maintain a robust framework for measuring and reporting on collections performance, including KPIs, benchmarks, and dashboards. 
  • Generate actionable insights from data to inform strategy adjustments and decision-making. Collaborate with teams to enhance predictive models for collections. 
  • Develop and maintain regular reporting on the effectiveness of collections strategies and initiatives. Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate the success of strategies and make data-driven adjustments as needed. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies across all markets. 
  • Work closely with senior leadership, regional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment collections strategies with broader business objectives.  Present insights and strategic recommendations to key stakeholders 
  • Lead and mentor a team of collections strategy and MIS analyst fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning. Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their roles. 
  • The ability to identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks, identify key issues based on Operational Risk Framework and put in place appropriate controls and measures. 

What you would possess already: 

● 8+ years of experience in risk and collections strategy, risk management, or related areas, with a strong focus on global or multi-market environments. 

● Strong analytical skills, with experience in leveraging data to drive insights and decision-making. 

● Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills. 

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Hands-on experience of working with SQL/Python/Power BI or Tableau as an individual contributor.

Regional Technical Manager – Secured

Some high level things you would own but not limited to:

  • Formulation of Technical Policy for secured LAP.

  • Evaluate property technical reports for LAP (Loan Against Property). Ensure compliance with valuation standards and internal policies. Assess the Property quality, marketability, and liquidity, Construction status, age, and structural risks.

  • Technical Report TAT adherence as agreed and defined in SOP.

  • Identify technical risks in property documents and verify site feasibility and marketability of collateral.

  • Manage and onboard external vendor technical agencies (valuation firms/technical officers) to ensure timely and quality reports.

  • Ensure all technical documentation aligns with regulatory standards.

  • Conduct spot checks on high-value properties and audit vendor reports to prevent fraud or overvaluation.

  • Coordinate with Sales/Product/Credit/Technology and Operations to fine tune the process.

  • Policy related training and frontline support for resolution of their queries.

Director – Risk & Portfolio Analytics

About the Role

At Lendingkart we are looking for individuals who will be assisting the Credit Risk Head & CRO in active portfolio management strategies, including ECL management & reporting.

Some high level things you would own but not limited to:

1 Undertaking data analytics of the LK’s credit portfolios and providing weekly, monthly and quarterly credit risk reporting over the health and composition of the book to the management. This involves collaborating with the internal data science, finance, collections strategy & other teams as may be required.

2 Identify more meaningful ways to analyze and present insights and highlight the risks in the credit portfolios, including early stress build up, including EWS.

3 Develop recommendations to adjust credit policies or collections strategies by utilizing segmentation and simulation techniques.

4 Documentation of various monitoring reports, portfolio/policy changes with rationale and data, Manage Risk Appetite metrics.

6 Design, implement, track, and report on new pilots in a Test vs. Control environment.

7 Potential to lead and train the junior analysts to understand the data and find innovative solutions to complex business problems and drive healthy business growth with a full cycle view of loss and profitability.

8 Deep understanding of unsecured portfolio management in the Indian lending context. 

What you would possess already:

1 A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in NBFCs & Fintechs in Credit Risk Analytics & Portfolio Management/Reporting.

2 Hands-on experience & ability to work as an individual contributor in carrying out statistical analysis using appropriate software and statistical programming languages e.g. Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI etc.

3 The ability to conduct complex risk analysis/RCA and provide senior management with business insights of portfolio quality, portfolio trends & performance.

4 Strong communication & presentation skills (written and oral) .

5 Working experience in running projects within the Portfolio Management space which may include system changes, IFRS ECL implementation etc.

Senior Director – Secured Policy & Portfolio

About the Role


At Lendingkart we are looking for individuals who will be assisting the Credit Risk Head & CRO in launching secured products, primarily LAP at LendingKart in selected geographies from a risk & policy perspective. 


Some high level things you would own but not limited to:


  • Design and update policies, process manuals, and guidelines for the secured micro-LAP product based on market trends, competitive analysis, and internal risk appetite. 

  • Establish and manage guidelines for property appraisals from a legal & technical standpoint. This includes overseeing relationships with third-party vendors for tasks like property valuation and legal verification. 

  • Monitor the health of the LAP portfolio to identify early warning signs of potential delinquencies and suggest corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with business & product teams to align policy with business goals and to ensure smooth application processing. 

  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies and all external regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and analyze management information system (MIS) metrics/reports for senior management review periodically. 

What you would possess already:


  1. A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in policy or risk management for secured LAP products.

  2. Hands-on experience & ability to work as an individual contributor for the first 12 months of launch of the product.

  3. Strong communication skills (written and oral) to provide senior management with business & portfolio insights.

  4. MBA/CA with relevant experience is preferable.

Work closely with senior leadership, regional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of collections strategies with broader business objectives. Risk Management

The ability to identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks, identify key issues based on Operational Risk Framework and put in place appropriate controls and measures.

What you would possess already:

● 8+ years of experience in Risk and collections strategy, risk management, or related areas, with a strong focus on global or multi-market environments.

● Strong analytical skills, with experience in leveraging data to drive insights and decision-making.

● Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

● Training – SAS/SQL knowledge preferred

  • Review and verify cases in line with internal KYC policies and risk-related checkpoints.

  • Process cases further for disbursement after due diligence and compliance checks.

  • Work across the complete Verification & FCU  including BSV, RCU, and other risk-related activities.

  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely verification in accordance with company policy.

What you would possess already:


  • Strong knowledge of internal KYC policies .

  • Good understanding of internal systems and processes.

  • Prior experience in verification, related risk functions preferred.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
